About Me

As a native of Henrico myself, I have a first hand account of the water crisis. I personally remember boiling our family’s tap water to store it in whatever container worked, in turn being forced to relegate food and beverages in our fridge to have enough space to store safe drinking water. During the boil advisory, I was on break from studying political science at the University of Mary Washington which caused me to take a deeper dive into the true roots of the crisis. As I closely followed the City of Richmond’s board and city hall meetings, I took in information and saved resources that eventually helped me conceptualize this website. Now that it’s complete I hope it can provide important information about Richmond’s water to whomever may need it, or perhaps captivate someone who just happens to stumble across this website.
